LeaderSTATE Leadership Development Camp

students standing in a circle and talking LeaderSTATE is a week-long summer leadership camp at Mississippi State University. The camp is sponsored by the U. S. Army and provides leadership training, but primarily focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education. leaderSTATE is open to high school students enrolled in the Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC). All campers are housed in a residence hall on campus. The camp is held for six weeks during the months of June and July. Each weekly session will have sixty (60) campers. Counselors will be responsible for leading a team of 7-8 campers.
